There is a new color challenge up over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week we are going against tradition a little and challenging you to add some purple to your Christmas Card.
I pulled out an older Hero Arts silhouette stamp set for this project, because I thought creating a watercolor night sky with some purple would be a fun way to do this challenge.
I started by watercoloring a circle onto some watercolor paper using Daniel Smith black and purple watercolor paints. I also splatter a bunch of paint onto the ‘white’ parts of the paper.
Then using some versa fine black ink, I stamped the silhouette of the the houses and Santa and his slay. I added some white highlights with my gel pen and then added some stars/snow into the sky.
I can’t wait to see what you do with this fun challenge and how you use purple in your project. Until then, happy crafting.
Quelle magnifique nuit tu as créé, ce ciel est magique pour une nuit magique, biz
