Happy Birthday

logo_600xSo, I typically don’t make cards that are die heavy (or at least that use to be true, because I feel I am actually making a lot more die heavy projects), but every once in a while a die is really meant to be showcased and highlighted all on its own.

Well, that’s the case today with the newly released die from Evaney’s Stamp Designs.  The new die is super cute, espically if you need to make a bunch of gender neutral kids’ birthday cards.

EK Gorman, Evaney's Stamp Designs aTo build this card, I blended some Distress Oxides in Fired Brick, Carved Pumpkin, and Wild Honey onto some watercolor paper.  I sprayed some water onto the paper to lift a bit of color and then grounded the edges with a little Vintage Photo.

EK Gorman, Evaney's Stamp Designs bI then die cut out some textured red and orange cardstock the new Balloon Fringe Die, along with the coordinating stars that come in the set.  I layered the two dies over each other so that they would stand out and the fringe would be loose on the card.

EK Gorman, Evaney's Stamp Designs cI added a birthday sentiment from the new Step Right Up stamp set from ESD, stamping it in both red and black ink.  I also glued on the stars onto the card.

EK Gorman, Evaney's Stamp Designs dHope you enjoyed today’s card.  Go check out the entire new release from Evaney’s Stamp Designs.  There are some really cute stamps and dies.
