Today, I thought I would play around with White Rose Crafts new Limited Edition April Card Kit in a slightly different way.
Using just the supplies in the kit (with the exclusion of adhesive and 3 distress oxide colors), I created two ATCs.
For those who don’t know, an ATC, or Artist Trading Card, is a 2.5×3.5 inch card meant to be traded with other designers. I thought it would be really fun to make some shabby chick ATCs with a slight vintage feel.
My first card used the pink Petallics pearlized cardstock as a base and one of the floral “Patchwork of Life” Collection paper and one of the toppers fussy cut out. I distressed the blue floral paper with some Faded Jeans Distressed Oxide. I then distressed the edges of the paper with distressing tool.
I stamped out some images into the background using the Scrapberry Stains Ink in pink and the Kaisercraft “Indigo Skies” Clear Cling Stamp Set. I added a Mulberry Paper Heart and filled it with glossy accents and sequins from the Custom Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground. I added a few pink crystals from Jolees bling. Finally, I touched the edges of the whole ATC with some Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide.
For my second card, I used some green Petallics pearlized cardstock as a base and some pink floral “Patchwork of Life” Collection paper and another topper fussy cut out. I also added some double-edged lace to the side of the card. The pink floral paper got some distressing with some a bit of Tattered Rose Distress Ink, while the outside of the card got hit with more Frayed Burlap.
I stamped the sentiment from the Kaisercraft “Indigo Skies” Clear Cling Stamp Set in pink Scrapberry Stains Ink and added a Kaisercraft Self-Adhesive Floral Gems. I also added one single sequin from the Custom Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground to the sash of the girl’s gown.
Hope my ATC’s give you some more inspiration from the Limited Edition April Card Kit. There is a limited supply, so make sure you order yours before they are gone!
