Evaney’s Stamp Designs released this month 2 new stamp sets and 2 new die sets. Today I am playing with one of the new die sets, Bunny Bird Die, which at first glance, may look solely like an Easter Die Set, but there are so manny possibilities with this set.
Of course with Easter just a couple of weeks away, I went with Easter Themed cards. (Stayed tuned in the coming weeks for more exotic uses of this die set!). Yes, you are seeing this correctly…the die set lets you make both a bunny and a chick out of die cut papers!
I created the bunny out of printed paper that was distressed with some Aged Mahogany Distress Ink. Even the white bits and sentiment got a light stamping of the Aged Mahogany too.
The eyes got a drop of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ebony Black. The eyes and the ears also got some glossy accents to make them shinny.
I created the chick so that she was holding an egg (cut from a die from the set) and sitting in grass. The chicks die cuts got distressed with Fossilized Amber. The Beak got hit with a little Rusty Hinge Distress Ink
The grass was created by trimming it with my scissors over and over and then adhering the bottom to the card. They eyes on the chick also got hit with a touch of glossy accents so they could look watery.
If you haven’t looked at Evaney’s Stamp Designs, go take a look around and see what they are all about. They are new, and could use all the love as they build their brand!
