There is a new challenge up over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. During this fourth week of February, we are having a technique challenge, and this one will focus on Watercolor techniques.
I decided to try something a little different for me, and start with a watercolor background and go from there.
I pulled out some watercolor paper and a pan of prima watercolors (decadent pie) and created a background filled with soft peach, golds, yellows, browns and olive green.
Then I heat embossed some antique gold embossing powder onto the card using the giant Christmas sentiment from Honeybee Stamps. I matted the watercolor paper with some dark green card stock and added a few Honeybee Stamps sequins to finish off the card.
I know this one is pretty simple, but I think it is pretty and I love the soft colors of the watercolor!
I can’t wait to see which watercolor technique you pick to play with for this challenge! Till then Happy Crafting!
Beautiful background and I love the big sentiment.
