There is still time to play with the current challenge over at Kitty Bee Designs by weekly challenge group, Aloha Friday.
The current challenge is a fun Theme challenge centered around Food and Drink. So pull out your snack and sips stamps and get crafting.
There are two amazing sponsors for this challenge, both of which are offering a prize to random participants.

This week I am playing with a digital stamp from My Besties called Big Eyed Bestie IMG664.
Now I am going to admit, I was feeling a little down when I started this project. There just wasn’t a medium I was really excited to play with…my colored pencils had been out a lot, my copics were buried under a mess, I had printed the digi out onto the wrong paper to watercolor. I was in a funk. So I decided to play around a little and see if I could come up with something fun. I decided to paint on the pie.
I pulled out some Fluid Acrylic and cut (or made it even thinner and more transparent) with some slow dri blending medium.
Then I painted the pie.
Feeling suddenly out of my funk, I pulled out my spectrum noir colored pencils and colored the girl ink.
I trimmed up the image and added a few pretty papers to matte the image, and stamped out a sentiment from a Hero Arts sentiment pack.
I don’t know how often I am going to try this technique and the future, but it is nice to know it is there to play with on days that I am feeling a little bit like trying to do something different!
I can’t wait to see what you do to create your Food and Drink Theme card!
