Thankful for You

CIC 431

It’s Sunday so that means it is time for a brand new challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge.  We have a fall themed challenge this week and those gorgeous leaves were the source of my Inspiration!

I took a retired background stamp from My Favorite Things and inked it up with a bunch of Distress Oxides.  I used frayed burlap, vintage photo, spiced marmalade, wild honey, fired brick, and fossilized amber plus a spritz or two of water to get that color!

EK Gorman CIC431 cI then used the same colors (the yellow, oranges, and red) and inked up an old (and I mean old) leaf stamp.  This was one of those old wood mounted stamps that I bought from the dollar bin a million years ago and have since removed from the block and added mounting foam to it.  I touched up the ink with a bit of water to smear the ink around and then added a second generation stamp with black ink over it.

Finally, I added a sentiment from a Heidi Swapp stamp pack and a few sequins from Craftin Desert Divas.

I can’t wait to see how you play with this week’s theme.  Will you go simple, or will you make a complex card.  You have until next Saturday to get your card linked up for a chance to be picked as our sweet six!
