Today is the second day of the Craftin Desert Divas mini release in which they are putting a new Die Set and a new Stamp Set onto the market. Today I have the honor of sharing a sneak peak of the new Stamp Set, Balloon Parade.
I worked a little differently than I normally do when constructing this card. I stamped out the two sweet kids and a sentiment from the new set, and colored them up quickly with my copic markers. Then I trimmed down the paper. I also stamped out the two balloon images and colored them up with my copics as well, but then fussy cut them out.
I then pulled out some vellum (it has a faint star pattern on it) and die cut the vellum with CDD’s Fancy Frames Die. I also pulled out a sheet from my Kraft in Color paper pack and trimmed it down to the size of an A2 card.
Here is where things got different for me. I pulled out some sewing thread and adhered it to the back of the balloons. Then I popped the balloons up with 3D Adhesive Squares and pulled the thread down into the hands of the kids. I can not even begin to tell you how long this took. I can’t promise I would try this again, but boy, do I love how it looked!
