Hello crafty people. Did you hear that the new stamp sets and die sets from the May Release Event over at Craftin Desert Divas is now available for purchase? That’s right, things are now in the shop and ready to be delivered to your home!
If you missed any of the sneak peaks, I am sneaking in here today to give everyone one last look at some of the new products.
Up first we have the new Garden Border Dies and Market Stand stamp set. I die cut out a bunch of the die images out of some textured colored card stock and started building up the scene on my A2 card frame. I then stamped out the camel from the new Market Stand set and colored him in simply with my copics and then fussy cut him out. To finish off the card, I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set.
The next card I crafted features the
new Ladybug Garden stamp set. I stamped out three of the images from the set in a straight line as well as a sentiment. I colored in the image using just a couple of copic markers. The red tones were done in R17, R29, and R89. The greens were done in YG03, YG06, and G05. The black shades were C05, C07, and C09. The brown tones were all from the E30 family, using E30, E31, E33, E35, and E37. Finally, the yellow was done in Y17 and YR16. I used tones of my White Gelly Roll Pen to add highlights. I trimmed down the focal image and matted the image with some dark red card stock. I added a few black card stock lines to highlight the images.
I adored playing with the new Sweet As Honey stamp set, and may have gone a little over
board with this card. I stamped out a couple of images and a sentiment from the set and started coloring it in with my colored pencils. I snagged a stencil with honey comb and added the stencil highlighting and low-lighting the honey comb with colored pencils. I glued on some sequins from the Honeycomb sequin pack loving how they added to the texture of the honeycomb. I die cut the image with my Fancy Frame dies as well as some black card stock using the largest from the set. I assembled everything using some 1/4″ Scor Tape.
I am having to pack all my paints up before the move, and as it so happens, I am having not using remorse, so I had to indulge and use my Distress Paints. The new stamp set Weather Gnomes seemed like the perfect stamp set to use with my distress paints. I used tattered rose, spun sugar, picked raspberry, festive berries, and barn door, blending them a bit with my fingers. I sprayed some water onto the paint (cause when you play with distress, you also play with water droplets) and let everything dry. I stamped two of the images from the stamp set and added a little thinned acrylic paint to the faces and limbs. I die cut a cloud from last months released Rainbow Die Set and added over one of the images feet. Then I added white acrylic paint to the clouds. I stamped on a sentiment from the stamp pack and finally added some Pretty in Pink Sequins.
Finally today, I pulled out the new Stars and Wishes stamp set and stamped out a few images, masking where I needed too. I colored the image in with my colored pencils and then didn’t like at all my coloring job. I fixed what I didn’t like by using liberal amounts of White Gelly Roll Pen. I die cut the image using my Fancy Frame dies, as well as several sets of printed paper. I stamped out two sentiments from the Be Inspired sentiment set. To give the card just a bit more of a whimsical look, I added a few Emerald Isle Sequins.
That’s it for today. I hope you have been enjoying all these looks at the new product line fromCraftin Desert Divas.
