Today is day…the final day of sneak peaks over at Craftin Desert Divas…But it is also the day that the May release goes live and you can start ordering. (I promise to update the links when the site goes live.)
With today being the final day of sneak peaks, I thought I would share not only one card featuring a new stamp set…but two different ones (see what you get when you tune in all week, little cherries on top!)
Up first is the new stamp set Weather Gnomes. The question I have for you is…to Brusho or not to Brusho (seriously let me know your opinion on this one). I stamped out the scene using several of the stamps from the new set onto some watercolor paper and die cut it with CDD’s Fancy Frame. Using some bright watercolor pencils, I colored in the images, trying for a no line color. I matted it with some brightly textured paper. However, I felt the card was missing something, so I pulled out some blue Brusho watercolor powder and sprinkled it over the wet background. I moved it around a little bit so all was covered. But I still can’t decide which one I like better…so tell, Brusho or not to Brusho. I added a sentiment from the new Weather Gnomes set, and highlighted it with my favorite White Gelly Roll Pen.
The other new stamp set I’m showing off today is the new Stars and Wishes. I don’t know about you, but I am absolutely in love with this little guys. I stamped out the scene (masking where I needed too) and pulled out my copics. I colored in each of the little friends, the clouds and stars, and then went a little nuts in the background with a collection of purples (V04, V06, V09). I pulled out the Mix It Up Dies and some Doddle Bug Kraft In Color paper. I used the large rectangle to die cut out the scene. Then using, for lack of a better word, postage stamp die and die cut out some papers. Using the star die I die cut out a few more stars for the sentiment to really be true. I assembled the card using plenty of Scor-Tape and some 3d Adhesive Squares to pop the stars. I don’t know…I think this one came out really fun!
