It is Sunday, so that means it is time for a new challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations.  This week we have a theme challenge going on, and this week the theme is ‘Mythical’!  That doesn’t mean it has to be unicorns, but with a cupcake inspiration like that, who can’t resist, right?

While unicorns are not a requirement, I just couldn’t resist creating a card with one, so I pulled out a digital stamp from Bugaboo featuring a unicorn.  I colored in the unicorn with my copics and then set off coloring the background in with my colored pencils.  I wanted a rainbow effect and the colors to seamlessly transition from one color to another, so I spent way to long working my pencils to get this effect.  I then grabbed a paint brush and some gamsol and really went to work blending the colors and breaking down the wax.  I finished the card up by adding some sparkle to the clouds and matting the image with some star printed vellum.
