Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #401

CIC401It is Sunday, which means it is time for a new Cupcake Inspirations Challenge.  Did you play along last week with all the fun of the 400th challenge birthday fun?  If you did, thank you for make that week so special for all of use Sweeties.  But now it is time to look at our first challenge in this new 400 zone.  This week we are having a color challenge, featuring the colors maroon, coral, and lemon.

This week we are sponsored by Birch Press Design who is offering a generous Birch Press Design Logo copyprize to one random participant.

This week I pulled out some Paper Smooches stamps and stamped them out really simply onto some card stock.  Then I pulled out my copics and colored the images in.  For the maroon color I used R29, R39, and R89.  For the coral tone I used R20, R43, and R14, with a little R02 over it all to peach it up.  Finally for the lemon I used Y00, Y11, and Y13.  The toast was colored in with E11, E13, and E15.

I trimmed up the card stock and added some printed paper behind it in both yellow tones, and maroon tones.

  1. What a fabulous celebration spread you’ve created with your various images! The little bird is sweet, but the showstoppers for me are the toast and jam….which I’m going to indulge in ‘for real’ as soon as I’m done commenting! Fantastic inspiration using this week’s colours!
