CupCake Inspirations Challenge 365

So with a bit of sadness (bare with me for a moments) I am writing to let you know that I amCupcake Inspirations Badge no longer going to compete with the weekly card challenge, Cupcake Inspirations.

No, instead, starting now, I will be one of the Design Sweeties with the group.  Now, I’ll be one of the bakers whipping up CIC365.png winnie &walter stampsdesigns each week to this fun and unique group…(Yeah!!!)

So for my first week here, we have a great inspiration challenge, asking for those willing to brace the kitchen of design…whip up a design with flowers.

To add to the fun of this weeks challenge, we are unspecifiedsponsored by Winnie & Walter who will be awarding a $25 gift certificate to use on their web site for one random crafter who participates in the challenge.

As for me, I went with a floral panel this week in my card, wanting to use the light colors of the CIC365inspiration photo, but wanting also to play with a bit of darkness.

Using Winnie and Walter’s In Bloom: Addie’s Garden stamp set, I stamped out five different floral images twice each in Memento tuxedo black ink.  Yes, there was some creative masking used to help layer the flowers.  Then, using my copics, I colored in the flowers using the pale colors in the inspiration photo to guide me.  Pulling out some heavy black card stock, I trimmed it up so that it would highlight the floral panel.  Adding a bit of dimensional tape under the black card stock I added it to the card.  Using some white embossing powder, I added a ‘thank you’ sentiment and a couple of pearl dew drops.

Now it is your turn to go forward and craft up a little something with flowers.  Go forth and whip up a little something sweet in your world.
