Thanksgiving Invitation

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Autumn Pumpkin aToday the gang over at Elizabeth Craft Designs is getting together to celebrate Thanksgiving and Fall.  Everyone is crafting something themed for the holidays, so make sure you pop over to check out all the team has created.

Today I am creating a pumpkin filled with leaves for my project to invite a family friend to our house for Thanksgiving.  I like how a pretty card like this makes someone feel more than just a simple invitation.

IMG_7699Step One:  Die cut the pieces from the Pumpkin die set.  I used 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock for the pumpkin, vines and a couple of the leaves, and Rust Soft Finish Cardstock for the rest of the leaves.

IMG_7700Step Two: Color the die cup piece with alcohol markers.

IMG_7701Step Three: Trim a piece of Rust Soft Finish Cardstock to 12×6 inches, and fold and score to create a 6×6 inches.

IMG_7702Step Four:  Die cut some shapes using the Stitched Hexagons die set and the Thinking About- Grand Canyon paper pack.

IMG_7703Step Five:  Run a piece of 4.25×5.5 inch trimmed 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock through a die cutting machine in the Lots of Dots embossing folder.

IMG_7704Step Six:  Adhere the hexagons onto the card frame using some 6mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

IMG_7705Step Seven:  Then adhere the colored pumpkin and leaves to the card frame using some Kids Choice Glue.
