There is a new color challenge up over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, this week using the new non traditional holiday colors of turquoise and gold.
I went with a sort of beachy Christmas theme, playing up my turquoise in the swim trunks and flip flop, and using some sea shells and sentiment to play up the gold.
And to finish off the card, I pulled out a bit of sea glass printed paper and matted my focal image with it.
I can’t wait to see how you color this (in my opinion) difficult challenge. It took me honestly a little bit to figure this one out, but I couldn’t be more happy with the finished results. I hope you are inspired instantly by these colors. Till then, happy crafting.
Super card idea. I would never occurred to make a holiday card this way.

EK – llove your double meaning sentiment!! What better way to celebrate the holidays than to go on a tropical holiday with shorts and flipflops!!! Yours and Fabioli’s gold embossing has inspired me! Thanks for sharing!!! -Donna

Hi EK, this is such a fun idea, I’d never have though to go this way! I love it though, sorry you found the colour combo difficult, it seems to have divided people! But it was worth it, you’ve come up with such a great and unusual card!
