There is a new challenge up over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. Since it is the first week of the month, that means that the new challenge is a sketch challenge, and this sketch is especially fun.
I decided to play with a little holiday humor for this week’s card, so I pulled out this super sweet puppy from Newton’s Nook and stamped him out onto some white cardstock. I quickly colored him in with my copics markers and then die cut the cardstock with a Craftin Desert Divas die.
I trimmed up some black card stock and added the circle, cutting of the edge that hung off. Then I die cut a star and filled it in with some red stickles, adding a few drops here and there and a touch of glitter to the pup’s head band.
Finally, I heat embossed some white embossing powder over a Art Impressions sentiment that I thought worked perfectly with the puppy.
I can’t wait to see how you play with this week’s sketch challenge. Are you going to be serious or humorous? Till then, happy crafting!
A fun card as usual. He doesn’t look too enthusiastic which makes is even better. x

So cute and he really doesn’t look like he wants to play! I rather think he has some stupid human on his mind! LOL I am sure all the props put on animals some times is not what they had in mind. But this design is still so funny! Thanks for the laugh!
