There is a new technique challenge up over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. The Technique Challenge this week is Paper Piecing, so pull out your stock of paper and get snipping.
Instead of layering pieces of paper into the background, I decided to layer paper into different sections of a stamp. I pulled out a retired stamp set from Neat and Tangled and stamped it onto a bunch of different papers. Then I trimmed out the papers and pieced them into the stamped image.
To add a little color to the background, I blended some pan pastels into the sky and over the stars. I matted the image with some black card stock and added it to an A2 Frame.
I can’t wait to see the Christmas card you make this week featuring paper piecing!
Your card is stunning EK. The trees look amazing in the different patterns. You did a really good job with the challenge. Hugs, Gill xx

This tree stamp is brilliant, it would look good whatever you did with it. The restricted colours you’ve chosen here are smart and stylish as is the sky. x
