Today, my children went back to school!!!  They were all nervous as they started their first day at their brand new school, and yet, there is a since I freedom I am feeling.  I always love the first day of school.  For the first time in months, the house is quiet and empty.  The dog sulks around the house because all her playmates are missing, and I can clean up and nothing gets immediately messy.  In the days to come I will seriously miss the kids being around all day, and join the dog in waiting for them to come home, but today…just today, I will enjoy the empty house!

So it felt only fitting that today that I make a card celebrating the quiet.  I thought I would spotlight this great Kitty Bee Designs digital stamp Flower Love Bug.  She seems at such peace.

I printed out the digi, and then colored her in with my copic markers.  Then using B32, B23, B26, and B28, I created a little body of water that the ladybug is floating along.  I pulled out a hero arts cloud stencil, and using Faded Jeans and Peacock Feather Distress Oxides, I sponged on some ink.  I pulled out a sentiment from Stampendous and inked it onto the card.

For all you moms saying goodbye during the days to your kiddos, enjoy the quiet, and cherish each moment!
