Day 19. One mile with the dog, two miles by myself. Note to self. Do not run with the greyhound mix with tired legs.
Hello Darkness my old friend, found you today in the AM. 5:30 am run amongst the freshly fallen snow. Not gonna lie, this one was just me checking a box. Day 18 complete.
Managed three miles in the sunlight, such as it was. Did not manage to miss the rain however. Day 17 in the books.
10 years ago when I was in shape I would never have considered heading out into the rain to run and I would certainly have talked myself out of running on a long busy day. Funny how getting older changes how you push yourself. 2 miles in the rain after a very long day. Day 16 complete.
Day 15. Think my running streak is nuts. Here are the ladies you should blame. Amanda, Emily, Lori, Jen, Ana, Teressa, Dina, Gina, Crescent, and Jessica. These friends who I run with way too much make me believe that I am capable of more. Thank you. Went out on a three mile trail and WOD run this morning and really felt the need to thank these women for getting me here. . . . . @foodgirldc @jenfiorello @southern_bamr @loribowlin @dmaraduey @teresalill @ginastracuzzi @jljultramom @nursebamr @efme
This morning I sat down at 7 am at my computer to do paperwork for the two shows I am putting up and finally got up at 6:15 pm. I finally got to go on my run at 7:15 pm with a stiff neck and back dreading the mile I was going to knock out. Well guess what, I knocked out three very fast miles and the stiffness is all gone. Day 14 complete.
Day 13 run done. This streak has always been about getting out of my comfort zone and pushing myself. However, this morning I realized I was down five pounds. So win, win.
This is my friend who greets me when I get home from my neighborhood runs. Always nice to high five Santa, even when your not feeling like running. Had a late meeting so did not start my run till eight but still got in two miles and treated myself to a picture with the the Christmas dragon. Day 12 in the books.
If you can’t tell by the amount of makeup still hanging on, I had a very grown up day with four separate meetings. But still found a way to drag myself around the block for a mile in the half in the dark. Day 11 in the books.
