Craftin Desert Divas April Release is almost upon us…and while the teasers have been fun…the official sneak peaks are here.

Today I am sharing not one, but two cards I made using the upcoming and new Rainbow Dies.

I knew I wanted to make a card with a rainbow of colors, and not inside the die, so I cut half inch stripes of paper from the Doodlebugs Designs paper pad, and adhered them to some card stock with my favorite adhesive, 1/4″ scor tape.  Then I ran not only this sheet, but a plain sheet of card stock through my die cutting machine.  Suddenly, I had not one card in the making, but two.

For the first card, I took the rainbow stripped paper, and the white rainbow and clouds.  I decided to make a shaker card out of this one, so I added some acetate to the back of the color strip paper and positioned the clouds and the rainbow die cuts onto an A2 frame.  Then I added some X-Press It Foam Mounting Tape and added a bunch of Twinkle Sequins inside.  I assembled the sandwich together, making a rather lovely shaker (I am not normally good at these, let’s be honest).  I wanted a fun sentiment, so I stamped out one from the Be Inspired sentiment stamp pack and die cut it with a die from the Tag Essentials die set and adhered it.

For the second card, I found out that the stripes of colored paper from the other card actually left a kind of cool line embossing on the white piece of card stock.  So I simply added it to an A2 frame, and added the clouds and rainbow dies cuts from the other paper back in.  I wanted a few rain drops and found the perfect ones from a left stamp from the Build A Scene stamp pack.  The sentiment came from the This and That stamp pack.
