Did you know that Craftin Desert Divas is hosting coloring challenges over on their social media Gallery? This is the second challenge of the month, and this time the color challenge is centered around a fun platypus digital stamp. You can even download the stamp for free.
Head over the CDD store and add on the Unique Friend digital stamp to your shopping cart. When checking out, don’t forget to add the code unique to get the digi for free.
Since this was a coloring challenge I decided to really play around with my markers and try for new color combinations. I googled platypuses to see what they really look like, and so many pictures had this mossy brown color, that I wanted to see if I could replicated it. So brace yourself, because I have some really weird copic combinations.
Fur: YG91, Y28, E43, YG95
Tummy: E51, Y28, E43
Feet, Bill and Tail: E43, YG95, YG99, E49
Pond: B26, C7, B28, E27
Background: R11, RV000, R0000

Do you experiment with your color combinations? If you don’t color challenges like these are the perfect place to do so!!!
To finish the card off, I snagged my trusty white gelly roll pen and added some ‘unique’ dots to the sentiment that comes with the digi. Then I added a few blue sequins from the Comet Sequin pack. Finally, because I wanted the image to be matted, I backed the card with some brown striped my Doodle Bug Design paper.
I can’t wait to see what you color up for this challenge, and I hope you play around with your color combinations.
