Can you believe it is March all ready?  Frankly I’m stunned.  But with the start of a new month, that also means that there is an all new Mood board Social Media Challenge over on the Craftin Desert Divas Facebook Gallery.

This month Craftin Desert Divas’ Mood board is rich in the colors of spring and growth.  I think it helps all of us who have had a hard cold winter feel the warmth of the coming spring…at least that’s how I feel, then again, we haven’t really had that cold of a winter since I’m in So. Cal.  Regardless, I love the color scheme for this mood board.

For me, I wanted to go ahead and use the Easter Theme for a card.  I pulled up on my computer both the Egg Hunt Bunny digi stamp and Spring Chick digi, and printed them out.  In fact,  I printed the Spring Chick five times.  Using my copics I simply colored the images, pulling tones from the mood board.  I then fussy cut out all the images and set them aside.  I pulled out an A2 card and masked above the fold.  Then using distress ink, I blended color into the card.  I used Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemon, Broken China, and Shaded Lilac.  I adhered on both the bunny and the chicks, adding a strip of white card stock under them all, so I could add some shading.

I didn’t have a great sentiment, so I simply printed out one from my computer, trimmed it up, and added a bit of a banner edge to it.   I can’t wait to see what you come up with using this month’s Mood board.  Don’t for get to add #CDDMONTHLY so we can find your design all over social media!!!!
