Dive into Spring

IMG_9507Hey Friends!  Anyone else as excited about the first day of Spring as I am?  And since it is the first day of spring, Elizabeth Craft Designs has a whole blog post with a collection of gorgeous projects to celebrate.  Make sure to pop over and check it all out!

I thought I would play around a little with the idea of spring and create a little something from Joset’s latest die collection.  But how do you make a mermaid fit into spring… well add eggs of course.

IMG_9491Step One:  Die cut the Mermaid die set out of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock.

IMG_9492Step Two:  Color the die cuts.  I used my Copic alcohol markers.

IMG_9496Step Three:  Using Kids Choice Glue, adhere the die cut pieces together.

IMG_9493Step Four:  Stamp a spring sentiment onto a piece of trimmed 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock using the Spring Sentiments stamp set.  Then stamp eggs over the cardstock from the Color my Easter Eggs stamp set all over the 4.25×5.5 inch paper.

IMG_9494Step Five:  Color the cardstock with alcohol markers.  I used my Copics.

IMG_9508Step Six:  Adhere the colored cardstock to an A2 card frame using some 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  Adhere the mermaid to the card using both 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive and Kids Choice Glue.
