Thinking of You

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs aIt is that time of month again when all the design team over at Elizabeth Craft Designs gets together to compete in a friendly little Designer Challenge.

For our challenge this month we are using any of the Garden Notes – Frame It/Stitched nested dies. There are four different die sets in this collection … squares; rectangles; ovals and circles so the projects the team comes up with will be very diverse.
And did you know that there are gift cards available for you to win.  You head over to the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog and answer this month’s question.  Our challenge question is: Which of the Garden Notes – Frame It/Stitched die sets would you use on a project and how would you use it?
I used the Frame It/Stitched Circles for my project today and created a little tutorial to on how I created this project.
EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs eStep One:  Trim a piece of Dusky Sky Soft Finish Cardstock to 12×6 inches, score and fold at 6 inches to create a 6×6 card frame.  Trim a piece of Silver Gray Soft Finish Cardstock to 6×6 inches.  Trim a piece of 100lb White Soft Finish Cardstock to 5.75×5.75 inches.
EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs fStep Two:  Die cut several small circles out of the Silver Gray cardstock using the smallest Frame It/Stitched Circle dies.
EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs gStep Three:  Add 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive to the back of the Silver Gray cardstock between all the holes.

Step Four:  Adhere the White cardstock using 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive to the card frame.  Adhere the Silver Gray Cardstock over the white cardstock.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs iStep Five:  Using a stamping platform, stamp snowflakes from the Snowflakes stamp set into the die cut circles using light blue ink.  I used Memento Summer Sky ink.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs kStep Six:  Stamp the snowflake again over the initial stamped image using Sliver pigment ink.  I used both Memento Starlite Silver and Platinum Planet.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs lStep Seven:  Trim a piece of Dusky Sky Soft Finish Cardstock to .75×6 inches and piece of Pewter Soft Finish Cardstock to 1x6inches.  Die cut the sentiment out of Words 2-Thinking of You die set in 100lb White Soft Finish Cardstock.  Layer the two strips of paper together using 10mm Clear Double Sided Cardstock.  Adhere the sentiment to the strips using Kids Choice Glue.  Add to the card frame.
