There is a new challenge up and running over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown.  This week’s challenge is a color challenge and featuring the colors Yellow, Orange and Red.

I pulled out a holiday stamp set from The Verve and stamped it out onto some water color paper.  I also die cut the sentiment using another Verve die.  Then using progressively larger circle dies, I blended onto some Bristol paper an ombre effect using Distress Oxides.  I used Fired Brick, Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey, Fossilized Amber and Squeezed Amber.

I sprayed the paper with some clear water and splattered some Candies Apple and Spiced Marmalade onto the paper.  Additionally, I die cut and stamped a poinsettia and colored it in using the two Distress Red Oxides from above.
