We Fit Together

Hold onto your britches because Elizabeth Craft Designs has some new releases on the horizon (besides the gorgeous new Microfine Glitter that was released a couple of weeks ago) and today is the first day to see the new Dies and Stamps.

Today we are featuring Joset van de Burgt and a huge slew of new dies that will completely wet your thirst for summer fun.  And I am only just sharing a fraction of what is being released today, so make sure you run over to the Elizabeth Crafts Designs Blog today and see all the gorgeous projects done by the design team.

I am starting today with a new Die set celebrating the fourth of July for folks here in the states.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Joset release aBut not only are we sharing the new 4th of July Die set, but I am sharing the new Fitted Hexagon die set and the new Blackboard Number die set (it is where the 4) came from plus the Summer Fun stamp set.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Joset release bThe hat and firecracker plus the glitter explosions come from the 4th of July die.  I used some Moonbeam Microfine glitter from the Earth Palette.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Joset release cBoth the hat and the fire cracker (plus the band on the hat) were colored with my copics to give it some realistic patriotic feel.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Joset release dI stamped out the sentiment, but purposely rubbed off the ink of the 4 in the stamp so I could use the new Blackboard Numbers die set.  I covered the four in moonbeam glitter, but didn’t like the gold, so colored over the glitter with a copic marker to make it red.  The background of the card comes from the Love you To the Moon and back Paper pack and the three fitted hexagons are die cut out of Sunflower Soft Finished Cardstock.

My second card from this release (Today) features the new Flamingos die set.

IMG_E0888I am seriously loving this die set that has the body of two flamingos, four legs, two faces and two beaks in the set.  My daughters however, proclaimed that they would stop loving me if I made pink flamingos, so I colored instead two flamingos modeled after the Americano Flamingo, a peachy coral colored flamingo.

I colored up the flamingos using my copics, but started with some Pale Peach Soft Finish Cardstock.

IMG_E0890Then using the stitched Hexagon set (new released today) and die cut out a alcohol ink saturated yupo paper colored like water.

IMG_E0891The 6×6 card frame is created out of a sheet of Dusky Sky Soft Finish Card Stock.  The pattern paper comes from the Thinking About- Polinesia and was die cut with Stitched Squares die set.

IMG_E0889Finally, I added a sentiment from the Love Sentiments stamp set in some cornflower blue archival ink and added some dots with my white gel pen.

Make sure you check back over the next few days to see more from the amazing release.  Till then, happy Crafting.

  1. […] EK Gorman designed two fun cards for us. For her first card EK created two colorful flamingos with their necks intertwined. She used the Flamingos, Stitched Hexagons, and Stitched Squares die sets, along with the Love Sentiments Clear Stamp set. Soft Finish Cardstock in Pale Peach and Dusky Sky and ModaScrap Thinking of You Polinesia Pattern Paper were also used on this card.
