Hello crafty friends…I’m back to remind you that there is still time to play with Christmas Card Throwdown.  The technique challenge is still going on, and the technique they are challenging you to try is shaker cards.

If you saw my post last week, you will know that I am not the person that should ever make a shaker card.  I just don’t have the talent.  However, I gave it another shot.

This time I embossed a Darice embossing folder onto some white card stock.  Then, using some dies from My Favorite Stamp Dienamics, I die cut out some holiday shapes (for lack of a better word) in the card stock and some fun foam.  From there I created the shaker card using clear sequins.  (If you don’t know how to make a shaker card, please do not try to learn from me…there are far better crafters out there who actually do this well.  Youtube them.  Please, please, please do not use me as a teacher of this art.  I am not even a student.  I am merely a babe, pretending I have any idea what I am doing with this technique).

Regardless of my skill level, I hope you enjoy today’s card.  I seriously am looking forward to what you come up with, since I know your cards will be far superior to my inspiration cards!
