Ek Gorman, Doodles Paper Playground, October Hop cI went ahead and continued my tradition of using the new Birthstone Collection blends (Both Opal and Citrine) to create two more birthday tags.

OpalBirthstone Collection- October Opal

citrineBirthstone Collection- November Citrine

IMG_7708I started by stamping out a sentiment with the ScrapBerry pigment ink in Light Brown onto a Jillibean Soup shaker tag.

IMG_7709I then blended a little Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide onto the card.

IMG_7710I then stamped out some more simple images onto the front of the tag with more Shaded Lilac.

Ek Gorman, Doodles Paper Playground, October Hop aPicking out the right color to blend around Opal was difficult, and I think I missed the mark a little.  However, it is still a fun tag.

IMG_7707I repeated similar steps with the November Citrine tag, using both Fossilized Amber and Scattered Straw.

Ek Gorman, Doodles Paper Playground, October Hop bI think I was able to get closer to what I wanted with this tag.

Ek Gorman, Doodles Paper Playground, October Hop dWhat’s even more exciting is that I am one blend away from having a full year assembled!!! Let me know in the comments below which Birthstone Sparkle Blend is your favorite.  And don’t forget to continue on the blog hop.  Your next stop is Meghan.  Until then, Happy Crafting.

  1. Love these pretty tags with the shaped shakers! March is my birth month and I am partial to aqua tones, so I’ll choose March’s sparkle blend as my favorite!
