Today a bunch of us designers from Elizabeth Craft Designs are getting together today to create some Halloween inspired projects to get you into the spooky mood of the next major crafting holiday.
I pulled together two different pumpkin die sets and a critter die from ECD to create this fun not to scary halloween card.
Step One: Die cut all the pieces from some 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock. Used the new Pumpkin die for the large pumpkin, Pumpkins die set for the little pumpkins and the Cat die set for the peek-a-boo critter.
Step Two: Color the pumpkins. I used my copics and used the colors YR21, YR24, YR27 and YR15. The green stems were colored with YG91, YG93, YG95, and YG97. The faces were colored with warm gray tones, W5, W7, W9 and a little 100.
Step Three: Color the kitty up. I only die cut the head, face, ear pieces and tail for this card and use cool grays to color it up. I used C5, C7, and C9.
Step Four: Assemble the large pumpkin and cat using some Kids Choice Glue.
And repeat Step Four for the small pumpkins.
Step Five: Trim a piece of Rich Black Soft Finish Cardstock to 12×6 inches, and score and fold to make a 6×6 inch card frame. Die cut a piece of True Green Soft Finish Cardstock with the Stitched Indented Squares die set and a piece of printed paper from the Thinking About Grand Canyon and die cut it with the Fitted Indented Square die set. Assemble the papers onto the card frame using some 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive.
Step Six: Die cut your sentiment from the Words 3-Happy Holidays die set out of some Bright Orange Soft Finish Cardstock.
Step Seven: Adhere your pumpkins and sentiment to the card frame. I also pulled out my white gel pen to add some small highlight details to the pumpkin faces and the cat’s eyes.
