EK Gorman, CCC September aToday I have a collection of four cards that I am sharing that sort of fit the movie night theme.  When I went searching in my stash of supplies for movie themed stuff, I found I was sorely lacking.  But what I did have was a great sentiment set quoting one of my favorite movies of all time, The Princess Bride.

This As You Wish stamp set from Ink Roads Stamps is a great collection of your favorite quote from the movie so I made a collection trying to highlight a few of my favorite.

EK Gorman, CCC September b Card one features the quote I use most in my real life (frankly anytime someone annoys me) an I die cut the background with a die that just adds stitching.  I also used some Weathered Wood and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide to blend some color onto the card.

EK Gorman, CCC September cCard two features that phrase any of us Princess Bride dorks use any time we go to a wedding.

EK Gorman, CCC September dI used both Weathered Wood and Worn Lipstick to add color to this card (and yes I know when this quote is used our young lovers are not together).

EK Gorman, CCC September eI didn’t have any pictures that went with this quote, but I did have the famous misused word, so I thought it worked perfectly.

EK Gorman, CCC September fI used Evergreen Bough and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide to add color to this card.

EK Gorman, CCC September gMy final card today features the little castle stamp and the quote that goes perfectly with it.  I tried some interesting die cutting with this card, but was not certain I got it right.

EK Gorman, CCC September hThis card was colored with Hickory Smoke and Fired Brick Distress Oxide.

Let me know in the comments below which of the four cards were your favorite.

And be sure to hop over to Sue‘s page to continue your hop!

Here’s our line up in case you get lost along the way.

  2. I love The Princess Bride! I’ve seen it so many times I can quote it. I think the first card is my favorite since it’s one of my favorite quotes in the movie! Great job on all 4 cards!

  3. I absolutely love The Princess Bride. I must confess, I use some quotes from the movie also (especially on the younger generation, they have no clue) My favorite card is the quote from Inigo Montoya. Thanks for the big smile on my face.

  4. Love all your cards! My daughter has had us watch this movie a million times. It’s no wonder she can use all of your quotes. I will have to check into purchasing that stamp set. Thanks for sharing. Inconceivable card was my favorite.
