EK Gorman, Blog Hop aMy project today is a bit of a departure from my typical crafting style.  I am not really certain who’s style I was channeling, but I love how this project wrapped up.  For my card, I used a Recollections stamp set that I’ve had since I started card making, and stamped out black and white images onto the side of my card.  I didn’t want them to literally overlap each other, but I wanted it feel like the holiday images were overlapped.

EK Gorman, Blog Hop bFor my featured stocking (there is another one tucked into the black and white images after all) I went for a different feel.  I stamped out an Altenew stocking and fussy cut the image out.  Then using some red flocking, I added it to the image.  Finally, using my snow pen, I added textured fluff from the pen, and heat set it.  I adhered the socking to the card using some 3d adhesive squares and a bit of string to make it feel like the stocking was hung from the top of the card.

I hope you enjoyed my project for this month’s Hop.

Be sure to hop over to Sue’s Blog and see her gorgeous project!  Until then, happy crafting!

Here’s our line up in case you get lost along the way.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

  1. I really love this card! The black and white images are so pretty but that single colored stocking is just perfect! Thanks for hopping and Merry Christmas!
