What’s Up

Hey Friends…I am back this evening with nothing but some projects I made to enter into some challenge posts.  It has been sort of freeing to create for the pure sake of creating.

CLCsip-Sketch-7.8-206x300

Up first is a sketch challenge from the brew crew over at Coffee Loving Cardmakers.  And of course, a coffee/tea theme is always part of the plan.

I pulled out a fun coffee image from Altnew and stamped it onto some kraft paper with some ground express distress ink and then added some versamark ink and clear embossing powder over it.  I also distressed the edges with some distress ink.  The background was created with a stencil and more shades of brown distress ink.  Then using a Verve stamp and die, I added the sentiment to complete the sketch.

pp400Next up is a theme challenge celebrating the 400th challenge over at The Paper Players.  The obvious choice for the celebration is well…Celebration!

I went with a purple theme, and added bunch of purple distress ink onto some watercolor paper.  I added a die cut sentiment from Elizabeth Craft Designs and a sentiment from The Ink Road.  I also die cut the oval on a plain piece of purple cardstock with an Elizabeth Craft Designs frame die.  Finally I added some sequins from Sparkle Blend sequins.

MFT_WSC_392I attempted and sort of failed the sketch challenge over at My Favorite Things.  I wanted to reuse what I trimmed away, but it sort of just fizzled in the over all designs.

The background was stamped with distress ink and blended with a different shade of brown.  I used a retired MFT background woodgrain die on the kraft paper and another retired MFT stamp set as the focal image.  I colored the image with my copics and really like how that came out.

236 Masculine Cards

I created a somewhat silly masculine card for the masculine theme card challenge over at Art Impressions.

I stamped out what I believe is a retired front and back stamp set from Art Impressions and then colored it with my Tombow markers and blending tool.

My last card is a theme challenge from the team over at Allsorts Challenge.  The theme is “In My Garden” and looking for all kinds of floral in the design.  I stamped out some retiring floral stamps from Altnew and colored it with my Dewert watercolor pencils and blended it with my tombow blending marker.

Thanks for peaking in at my challenge cards!  Have you been playing any interesting challenge groups lately?  Let me know!
