If you’ve seen any of my posts this week, you’ll know that I am very grumpy this week.  Last week I was wearing shorts and a tee shirt planning my spring garden, and now they are calling for snow.  8 inches of snow.  Yes you heard that correct.  Snow.

So this week I am trying to herald in spring with my cards.  If you Build it it will come, or something like that.

I am dying to get my garden started.  I didn’t have one last year because of our move across the country, and I have seriously missed all my canned veggies.  Now, living in a place where it apparently snows in April, I am struggling with when do I plant.  Thank goodness, I didn’t plant last week during spring break.  (That’s not a hundred percent true, I planted five pots of herbs, but I’ve carried them into the house).

So in the theme, if you build it, it will come, here is my garden.

I am playing with the new die set Dig It from Evaney’s Stamp Designs.  It is such a fun garden die set.  Today, I die cut the images out of white cardstock, and then colored them in with my copic markers.

To the created the dirt, I layered two layers of the die so that it looks like rows of dirt.  To create the sentiment, I pulled out a sentiment from Prickled and stamped it onto the dirt, and then added the dig it die cut.

For the background of the card, I pulled out some distress oxides and blended it into a sheet of white card stock.  I used, Peacock Feather, Broken China, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, and Faded Jeans.  Then splashed and spray too much water onto the card.  But it it snows this background, this might be what my world looks like.
