I am back again today to share two more of the new stamp sets from Craftin Desert Divas and give you a second look at them.

The first card features the new stamp set Brewed with Love, along with with the new die set Nested Heart Dies.

I stamped out one of the images onto some card stock and then stamped out a sentiment onto another piece of paper.  I colored in the image with my copics and then fussy cut the top portion of the image out, leaving behind the bottom section to work as my snow ground.  I then die cut the sentiment out using the medium heart after touching it with a bit of marker.

I pulled out some more card stock and die cut the large heart out of it.  Using some brown glitter paper, I die cut the border of both the large heart and the medium heart.  Then I put everything together, starting with some textured brown paper on an A2 card frame adhered with some Scor Tape.  I then layered the hearts and adhered them down.  Finally I added the image, making certain that the bottom of the ‘snow’ was trimmed to match the brown card stock’s width.  To add a bit more sparkle I added a few sequins from the new Lady Bug sequin mix.

The second card today features the new stamp set from CDD, Celebration Trolls.

I created this one, a little backwards.  I started out my stamping out the image and the sentiment.  I colored them in with my spectrum noir colored pencils (and please look at the shadow…I love how the shadows turned out).  Then, feeling the card needed a little something, I pulled out CDD’s Sorted Shapes stencil.

Using some distress oxides in Seedless Preserves, I added the small dots from the stencil onto the cardstock.  I may have made a mistake when I blended a little more ink around the edges of the card…I don’t know if I like it…I do however like the few sequins I added around the card from the new Bubble Gum sequin mix.
