Now onto the new release!  I have two fun looks to share with you today featuring two of the new stamp sets.

EK Gorman HBS Ocean Boarders1Up first is the really fun Ocean Borders stamp set.  I stamped out the long Ocean Border and colored it in with my copic markers using the colors BG05, BG07, and BG09.  I added a bit of white gel pen to add some highlights, and then fussy cut out the stamp.  I also

Ek Gorman HBS Ocean Boarders2

stamped out a couple other images from the stamp set and colored them in with my copics as well.  The clam shell and fish I used YR00, YR04, and  YR09.  The coral and the star fish are colored in with R20, R22, and R24.  The two different sea plant are colored in with BG72, BG75, and BG78.  I fussy cut out all the images and set them aside.

I grabbed a piece of white card stock and build up a layered of Cornflower Nuvo Embellishment Mousse using a heavy thick bristle wash brush.  Then I blended the right EK Gorman HBS Ocean Boarders3side of the card stock with some Old Navy Nuvo Embellishment Mousse.  I then grabbed the Honey Bee Hexagon Layering Background Stencils and spread with a platte knife a thick layer of the Cornflower Mousse.  I just adore how this mousse is metallic and reflects light in such a stubble way.

I glued the ocean boarder onto the card stock with some dimensional tape to pop it off the page and then added the images, adhering them flat.  Finally, I pulled out Honey Bees’ Happiness sentiment stamp set.  I had to doctor the stamps a little to get the phrase I wanted, but all the words came from the set none the less.

The other card I have to show off today features the mermaid from Honey Bees’ new Swimming By stamp set.  Isn’t this mermaid just too sweet!EK Gorman HBS Swimming By 1 I colored her up using my copics.  The markers I used were as follows:

EK Gorman HBS Swimming By 2Tail and Bra Cup:  G00, BG23, BG15, and BG18 (plus white gel pen)
Skin Tone: E000, BV000, E02 and R20
Hair: Y17, YR16, and YR09 (plus white gel pen)

I fussy cut out the mermaid and added an Action Wobble behind her.  Yes, I had to trim the plastic sticker a little so it wouldn’t show behind the mermaid.  I set aside the mermaid and grabbed a sheet of white card stock cut to an A2 card frame size.  I pulled out Zen Floral stamp set and stamped it out along the edges of the card.  I pulled out my copics again and simply colored in the floral images.  I used G00, BG07, BG09, BG13, Y17, YR00, YR02, EK Gorman HBS Swimming By 3YR07, and YR09.

In the center of the card stock I colored it trying to look like ocean water below  I used BG70, BG10, and BG13 plus a bunch of colorless blender.  I added the mermaid to the ocean water, and then stamped out the sentiment and fussy cut that out.  I added the sentiment to the card using some 3D tape and called this card done.

If you are continuing along with the Hop, you should be heading to Emily Midgett‘s page from here.

Don’t forget to leave a comment for a chance to win one of two gift certificates!  And don’t forget to check back on Monday over at Honey Bee Stamps Blog Page to see if you have won one of the prizes!
