Friday Challenge Fest

Happy Friday everyone!!!!   Ah, it is about time…it has been such a long week.  I am so happy we are about to have the weekend!!!  Anyway, I have a couple of cards that I want to share before I have to run off to the grocery store.  (Why is it that I feel like I just went, and yet don’t have any food in the house?)  Anyway, onto the art!

52Up first is a fun black and white card inspired by the photo from the team over at Inspired by All the Little Things.  I love that raincoat (and secretly EK Gorman IB52want one for myself).

I pulled out a digital stamp from Craftin Desert Divas and colored it up with different shades of dark grey and light grey trying mimic the jacket.  I fussy cut out the image and added some black and white striped card stock onto an A2 frame and mounted the digi with some dimensional tape.  I added a couple of black sequins and a Craftin Desert Diva sentiment and called this card done.

pp340The gals over at The Paper Players this week have a clean and simple week happening.  The theme for the CAS theme this time is “On the GO!”EK Gorman PP340

I went with a fun card stamp from Craftin Desert Divas and stamped it out in some black ink along with a sentiment from the same stamp pack.  Then using my copics I colored in the image.  I added a bit of a street, but lecutabovebadgeft otherwise tons of white to keep the CAS theme.  I trimmed up the card stock and added it onto an A2 frame and left it there.  I kind of wish
I added a little something to the top, but I didn’t want to fall off the CAS theme.

LIM #324The team over at Less is More is another CAS challenge going on.  The theme this week is “Spring Walk” and I was so excited because it meant that I could use a stamp set I have been waiting to use for EK Gorman LIM324a bit now.

I pulled out the Penny Black stamp set and stamped this fun little fairy stamp and colored it in with my copics.  I used just three color combinations to make this one: the skin tone, E000, E00, and E02.  The flowers, Y32, Y35, and Y38.  The tutu and leaves, G00, G02, G05 and the wings were just G00 and tons of Spectrum Noir sparkle pen.  I added a sentiment from Inky Antics and added just a bit of shadow from E41.

SSS 508 April 16 2017Over at Bugaboo’s Catch the Bug‘s Stella Says Sketch Challenge there is a really fun layered paper challenge.  I decided to mess with the shape a little, using a rounded square instead of a circle.EK Gorman Stella508

I pulled out a Stella and Gus digi and colored it up using pretty dull colors with copic markers.  I rounded the corners and matted it with a piece of pale yellow card stock.  I pulled two pieces of colored printed paper and trimmed them up to match the SSS Top 3 Badgesketch.  The card needed a little something more, so I pulled out some orange sequins in two different sizes and glued them to the card.  I am pretty sure that my husband feels this way every morning, due to the fact that I am the not the best morning person!!!

Ek Gorman LMM161Finally, I have a card for Little Miss Muffet challenge.  This challenge is a anything goes challenge.  I needed a card for a friend to help brighten her day (there were real life cupcakes as well) and I whipped up this card featuring a Bugaboo stamp.  I colored it in with my copics, using only three color combinations (and a skin tone).  The Yellows were Y13, Y17, and YR04.  The Peach was YR000, YR00, and YR02.  The Pinks were done in R81, R83, and R85 (and the skin tone is E50, BV000, and E53).

That’s it for today.  I am off to shop for food…wish me luck!
